As we approach the closing of one year, and the opening
of another, we realize we are at once an old and honored
Club-and a new and thriving Vero Beach institution.

Time never stands still. We can either use it productively,
or let it pass us by. With opportunities lost. And potential
squandered, promises unfulfilled.

IACA and its growing family of members-longtime and
recent-have chosen the path of greatness.

We are the same as always. We are completely different.
But our focus is sum and steady. We are a vital force in
our community... as we head inexorably toward a
milestone 50~ anniversary in 2008.

Thanks to this year's influx of new members, adding fresh
energy and ideas to our long tradition of service and
volunteerism, we are on the march to new levels of
accomplishment. This in an unforgiving environment that
respects charity toward needy neighbors-but demands
unconditional performance in everything else.

We can't have one...without the other.

Our standards are high. Ourcommitment total. Our
members already represent the best there is in all of us.
I congratulate you.. one and all., for being upto the
challenge.

Simple fact. When you're on top of your game...

Time is not the enemy.

But your friend.

 From Our President for December

                 A Message from Our
                 President:

In life, and in business, we often cIose one door.
 Then open another.
 The rhythm of life itself.
And so it is. once more, in December 2006.
A time to look back at what we've accomplished   And look
forward to what we can do better.
Milestones are many. A spectacular 3-day food festival in
March. Underlined by special events ranging from Friday
night dinners to Sunday afternoon pastas to a theatre party
 in November.
Critical day-to-day decisions on budget controls, plans for
physical plant renovation and streamlining, scholarship
awards and other contributions to community betterment.
New systems tin membership development and
 participation
More great events in December to close out 2006 in style.
And prepare to welcome in a brand new 2007.
Where dreams are many. And initiatives already in place to
build on past momentum to insure future progress.
Meantime, on behalf of your officers and directors, I want
to thank all our dedicated volunteers from both the men's
Club and the Ladies Auxiliary for making 2006 a year to
 remember.
And, with pride and gratitude in my heart,  I wish all our
members and their families a happy and safe holiday, and a
 joyful and prosperous New Year.

      A Message from Our
                President:

Excitement is the byword for the new fall social season at
our Club. Both the men's unit and the Ladies Auxiliary. We
have something for eveiybody.

Notably our signature program of Sunday pastas and Friday
night dinners.

Underscored by many new events. Including a 2-day
Columbus celebration in October. A wine tasting one day.
A dinner the next.

Also a theatre party in November.

Featuring a delightful dinner experience at the Club and at
the theatre, an original play about an Italian immigrant
family in New York... with special dialogue sprinkled with
some actor coaching recruited from IACA `experts."  the
cast mcmbcrs wanted to interpret the sometimes colorful
way Italian Americans express themselves in word and
gesture.

No further comment needed. But you havc to see the play.

And a December to remember.  With lots of surprises.

Ihere was never a better time to join the IACA.

If you have a friend or family member who might be
interested, get the word out Don't let anyone you care
about miss out on all the fun.

Our slogan says it alL

Since 1958.. The Italian American Civic Association is
"where it's happening in Vero Beach."
